MITRE’s Systems Engineering Technical Center helps our sponsors to identify the key questions—and determine how to answer them based upon strong evidence. The System Performance Engineering department provides innovative, evidence-based performance engineering services to MITRE, its Sponsors, and Partners to achieve quality and performance objectives across People, Processes, and Technology.

The System Performance Test and Evaluation group is focused on test activities (including functional, performance, and security testing) during the systems engineering lifecycle (waterfall, Agile, and DevOps). You would develop test plans and cases from requirements, proceeding through integration testing and into deployment and operational monitoring. You would apply systems thinking and best-practice capabilities to help our sponsors achieve successful deployment of their solutions. We are looking for highly-motivated, adaptive, and self-directed candidates with a wide variety of interests and a foundation of skills in performance and development disciplines..

Our Test and Evaluation engineers will provide thought leadership and problem solving for government customers in collaboration with stakeholders from private, federal, state and local sectors.

Qualifications

Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a US Department of Defense security clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems Management or related discipline.

  • 3 years documented success in applying one or more of the following capabilities in complex environments:

o Testing and evaluation across development lifecycle paradigms

o Performance, functional, and/or security testing

o Test planning and management

  • Familiarity with at least 3 of the following tools:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with multiple Government departments or agencies is preferred, but experience working on transformational projects in other complex environments may be considered.
