Job Highlights

As part of the Construction Project Management Office, CPMO, this position will manage ongoing construction renovation projects as assigned at the McLean Campus. The campus consists of four buildings totaling approx. 1.1 Million Square Feet. Renovations typically occur in occupied spaces and require ongoing coordination with contractors and MITRE staff. The ability to interact collaboratively and professionally with Managers and MITRE stakeholders is often critical to the success of the project.

Key Functions

Project management – Apply Project Management disciplines to all aspects of the construction process. Oversee and manage Architectural, Engineering Design firms and General Contractors. Coordinate and develop Scope of Work for each project with internal MITRE stakeholders. Conduct and lead Project Meetings with customer, vendor partners and shared services at MITRE.

Financial management – Develop project budget as part of CIP Approval Process. Manage ongoing project cost tracking and approved budget to actuals and ongoing financial reporting. Prepare final closeout documents.

Communication – Meet with stakeholders to develop SOW and project requirements. Develop communications plan informing MITRE management and related staff of construction activities.

Qualifications

Required Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management or related field. 6 years of construction management experience. Familiar with Microsoft Office products to include Microsoft Project.

Preferred Qualifications: 10 years construction management experience. Prefer PMP certification and/or LEED certification. Familiarity with ICD 705.
