You will responsible for performing all facets of personnel security (PERSEC) related to suitability & fitness, DoD clearance, and SCI/SAP processing.

  • Key Functions

Provide professional and agile support to MITRE employees undergoing vetting by various Government agencies according to agency specific policies and procedures.

Learn and use a robust MITRE developed security database to manage your cases and maintain company PERSEC records.

Utilize various Government PERSEC databases to perform submissions and status checks available to industry.

Collect, research, document, and forward for adjudication, all reportable information from employees and contractors within mandated timelines.

Provide periodic reports to management and stake holders.

Screen and process applicants and employees for background investigations utilizing eQIP and other tools.

Perform scheduled follow-ups to obtain case status with sponsors, update databases and provide status updates to subjects to keep them well informed.

Conduct project revalidations and prepare security documentation in coordination with Project Leaders.

Conduct security indoctrinations and other type briefings.

Maintain processing procedures and instructions to ensure relevancy and accuracy.

Establish and maintain an excellent working rapport with sponsor counterparts and ensure understanding and compliance of PERSEC policy across a wide spectrum.

Work closely with the MITRE technical community to mesh special programs needs with strict security requirements imposed by the Sponsor.

Perform general duties of the office (e.g. fingerprinting, scanning documents, destruction, periodic reviews, clearance upgrade/downgrades, site transfers, etc.).

Ability to work overtime (as may be necessary)

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications

TS/SCI required

Self-starter needing minimal supervision and motivation to exceed expectations.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.

Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment.

Ability to exercise the utmost discretion in the handling of Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Strong computer skills with proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications.

  • Preferred Qualifications

TS/SCI/CI Poly desired

High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years applicable work experience in a service-oriented administrative environment. Working knowledge of eQIP, SF86, JPAS, DISS, Scattered Castles, NISPOM, JAFAN 6/0, ICD 704 a plus.

An exceptionally professional office administrator with superb multi-tasking and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent oral and written skills and ability to grasp new concepts and adapt quickly may be considered for training to become an Case Administrator.

  • Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, plus 5 years applicable of experience or the equivalent in job-relevant work experience.
