The MITRE Corporation is seeking several highly-motivated, experienced, and entrepreneurial intelligence professionals to develop innovative solutions for strategic analysis. As an Intelligence Analyst at MITRE, you will work on cutting-edge, mission-critical projects focused on some of the most challenging issues facing our customers. The successful candidates will enjoy working on a small team of creative, engaging, and self-directed individuals. Experience in the Intelligence Community and in analytic tradecraft is essential.

The positions are full-time and located in McLean, VA.

You will work with intelligence professionals to understand their requirements for warning; utilize analytic tradecraft to develop alternative futures, indicators, and strategic warning messages; and design solutions for new analytic frameworks and methodologies focused on long-term strategic analysis products addressing the nation’s most pressing national security concerns.

Qualifications

Position requires a minimum of a BS/BA Degree, TS/SCI with Polygraph, and 8 years of intelligence analysis experience, plus:

  • Formal training in analysis and analytic tradecraft with five or more years of experience producing strategic intelligence.

  • Experience with senior level analysis informing immediate and long-term policy deliberations.

  • Experience working with senior IC officers and policymakers.

  • Capable of generating reports, briefings, and position papers, including strong writing and briefing skills.

  • Innovative thinking and creative problem-solving skills to enable more efficient and effective execution of the mission.

  • Multi-disciplinary technical background and broad professional interests.

  • Extensive work experience within the Intelligence Community and a large IC/DoD network.

  • Experience identifying, documenting, and developing either business processes and standard operating procedures for large projects.

  • Effective networking to reach back responsively across all of MITRE to bring the Corporation’s array of strengths and skills to the project.

  • Ability to remain flexible to changing customer requirements and successfully operate in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Also required: Knowledge of the IC, DoD, NSC, national security policy and strategy, and analytic tradecraft. Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following areas: East Asia, North Korea, Iran, Cyber, Western Hemisphere, Africa, and Russia/Eurasia.
