Software Engineering and Computing Department is seeking passionate Agile Software Engineers who want to be technical leaders. We value engineers who want to lead projects to help government sponsors engineer systems to solve challenging problems affecting our national security.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar field and 8 years of experience. Candidate demonstrates an ability to apply advanced principles, theories and concepts comparable to those obtained with a Master's degree in a relevant field of study. Candidate understands the missions, domains and challenges of MITRE customers and is fully responsible for deliverables-including definition, completion, and technical quality, as well as assuring consistency across the responsibility span. In addition, candidate is able to define projects or programs greater than themselves.
Experience in software design and implementation in federal and commercial domains.
Experience in agile software delivery (e.g., Scrum, XP)
Experience in release and sprint planning and backlog management
Fluent in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Java, C or C#)
Experience with agile tools (e.g., Rally, JIRA)
Experience with continuous software integration and deployment
Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Maven, Jenkins, Bamboo)
Familiarity with enterprise-level models of agile development (e.g., Scaled Agile Framework).
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
