The Health Communication and Behavioral Sciences Group provides expertise in identifying and resolving complex structural problems that affect health, healthcare delivery, and healthcare organizational management from a social, behavioral, and consumer oriented perspective. Experts apply qualitative and quantitative research methods and analysis with firsthand experience in provider organizations to address the change, prevention, risk, and communication needs of organizations and promote positive growth within the healthcare sector.

Key Functions:

Address social and organizational influences and structure within the healthcare delivery context.

Conduct research and analysis using applied social and behavioral science techniques and models.

Conduct stakeholder analyses, organizational assessments, development, and design supporting health related organizations.

Develop and apply methods and practices to aid in population health promotion and prevention and address health literacy, the capacity to obtain, process, understand basic health information and services from an individual and health systems perspective.

Develop training to support individual, groups and/or organizations in the receipt or delivery of healthcare.

Collaborate across work programs to ensure information sharing and integration of related activities.

Facilitate groups to identify and resolve complex issues.


Master's Degree/Ph.D. in Health Communications or related field.

At least 7 years of experience working in health communications, preferably in the public health field.

Minimum of 10 years experience developing concepts, processes, and systems that support organizational change.
