Role:

The Senior FP&A Analyst role within the Enterprise Analytics & Planning Services group reports to the Manager of Sector Financial Planning & Analysis (SFP&A). SFP&A is responsible for providing a variety of services that cut across multiple Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs) and MITRE’s services & resource provider organizations, including:

  • Management & execution of corporate planning cycles (Budget, & Quarterly)

  • Assisting leadership with the strategic plan formulation

  • Analyzing business unit or enterprise level performance

  • Reporting & dashboard development

  • Innovative thought leadership

  • Delivery of cross cutting enterprise level initiatives

The specific responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Development and delivery of high value analytical support to Sector Finance Managers that enables an understanding of the macro level performance drivers, impact to the forecast/strategic plan, and actions required to realize opportunities and mitigate risks

  • Partner with Sector Finance Managers to develop executive level briefings

  • Contributor on high priority enterprise level initiatives

Capabilities:

  • Ability to apply a broad range of analytical techniques to identify business issues, opportunities and risks

  • Ability to understand the implications of decisions at a business unit level and the connection to the enterprise overall including impact to metrics (Rates & Price)

  • Ability to partner with budget owners to determine appropriate prioritizations and impact of trade-off decisions on financial metrics

  • Ability to collaborate to resolve inconsistencies between the assumptions, beliefs and processes to increase the likelihood of achieving business unit objectives

  • General awareness of CAS & FAR regulations

Qualifications

BS 3-5 years related experience .
