Work in a multi-disciplinary team and apply software engineering skills to develop software prototypes and analytical tools for complex systems.

Perform modeling and simulations analyses and recommend solutions to support sponsors' strategic decisions.

Perform advanced research in the areas of system-of-systems integration, data analytic, machine learning, cybersecurity and software engineering.

Work across MITRE's broad sponsor base to identify and address challenges of emerging technologies, and help identify technology trends that can be leveraged to solve future capability needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field. 8 years of experience as a software engineer.

Demonstrated success in developing a variety of software systems while taking on increasing responsibility for analysis, design, implementation and deployment tasks.

Proven ability to interact professionally with a diverse set of clients and staff at various level of seniorities. Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experienced in traditional and advanced software development lifecycle.

Experienced in performing hands-on, end-to-end software engineering from problem definitions, requirements, architecture, development, test and fielding solutions.

Software development skills in Java, C/C , C#, Python, web frameworks (such as NodeJS, Angular, etc.), development environments (such as Eclipse, GitHub), virtualization technologies (such as VMware).

Experienced with developing automated build pipelines using automated test and continuous integration tools.

Strong writing, collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills.

Experienced with the development and acquisition of DoD, Army, or DoD Agency Information systems.

Experienced cyber security and secure software development background.

Working knowledge of data analyses and data management concepts.

Understanding of analog and digital communications systems and fundamental principles.

Experience with commercial or military satellite communications systems, waveforms, and equipment.

Experience with embedded systems.

Experience with designing or implementing software defined radio communication systems
