Do you have the interest and skills to define and introduce new capabilities to analytic teams working real-world missions? TheDepartment supporting HQ NORAD/USNORTHCOM J2/Joint Intelligence Operations Centeris seeking an intelligence systems professional to drive rapid development of innovative approaches to emerging intelligence problems, target high impact big data analytical tools and processes, and shape emerging tradecraft across all intelligence domains.Come join a great team, working in partnership with defense intelligence professionals and customers.

Key Functions

  • Work directly with analysts, technical/ developer teams, vendors, and the broader DOD Intelligence & Combatant Commands J-2 community to rapidly evolve, innovate, and improve solutions

  • Work with senior levels of the government to support high-quality, high–level research, and to integrate tools and processes form across the intelligence community

  • Proactively identify and remove barriers to improved data integration and analysis

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience

BS and 8 years related experience

Required Skills

  • Strong technical and systems engineering skills in developing, fielding, and optimizing new and innovative research and solutions applicable to the small cell analytical team

  • Solid foundation in intelligence analysis

  • A demonstrated ability to conceive, integrate and deploy complex, operational data and IT systems

  • Knowledge of data science or data analytics

  • Familiarity with Foundational Intelligence data sets and handling procedures

  • Understanding of Big Data tools applied data sciences techniques

  • Experience with continuous software integration, test and deployment

  • Experience in eliciting and developing user requirements; ability to work in close contact with analysts/ users, and to define their needs and envision solutions

  • Significant systems experience in the intelligence community; demonstrated ability to leverage information and technical capabilities across the DOD Intelligence community

  • Experience implementing change management, and a track record of leading technical project teams

  • Proficiency in commercial and military network technologies

  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data sets and making them available to the end user(s) via web services and applications

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or other technical discipline or 3-5 years of

  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the Intelligence planning and Intelligence Preparation of the Battle field and associated processes; experience with Defense intelligence and SOF mission sets

  • Experience working across multiple technical disciplines as a peer reviewer of others’ products.

  • Demonstrated expertise within one or more of the following fields: Geo-spatial, social Network analyst, Cyber Security; Computer Science; Systems Engineering; Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems; Signals Intelligence; Software Development; Telecommunications

  • Strong leadership and people skills; ability to facilitate synergy and consensus between diverse opinions and, contentious sponsor bases
