Apply your skills in human-computer interaction, collaboration, social software, and decision making to solve critical technological problems for a safer world and enhance the user experience in government systems and proof-of-concept prototypes
User centered design: understanding people’s current work practices and user needs, gathering requirements, leading the design and development of prototypes, iterating designs with users and stakeholders
Evaluation and testing: performing market surveys, usability testing, heuristic evaluation, and other HCI methods; making recommendations for acquiring or implementing decision support and/or tools for collaboration
Working knowledge or rapid prototyping tools for UI mockups
Use of software engineering best practices and agile methodologies to develop prototypes for stakeholders and for customizing COTS or open source software
Ability to document work, produce and brief presentations, write technical reports and papers for publication, as needed
Potential for innovation and visioning, i.e., thinking out of the box, coming up with the next great idea in social media and collaboration, making an impact on current work practices
Bachelors in computer science or human-computer interaction or human factors and have previous applied hands-on project experience with a development team.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar field and have previous applied hands-on project experience with a development team.
Candidate should possess the ability to be responsible for deliverables or parts of deliverables to MITRE customers.
