MITRE has an opening for a Senior Endpoint Security Engineer. This position will be a key part of the team that selects, deploys and supports endpoint security applications (such as anti-malware, application control, encryption products, etc.). This position will primarily focus on Windows 10 features (such as BitLocker and virtualization-based security) as well as the security configuration (i.e. researching and defining local and group policies for the Operating System, Internet Explorer and Edge).

Key functions include:

- Evaluate, test and deploy endpoint security applications and upgrades (such as BitLocker, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Carbon Black Response, etc.)

- Evaluate Windows 10 features and functionalities to improve the user experience and security of the endpoint.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex endpoint issues

- Work closely with MITRE's Information Security team to define product configurations and operational rules

- Interface with product vendors and other MITRE operational groups to enable features and resolve issues


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar field, and 3 years of experience. Candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to apply advanced principles, theories and concepts comparable to those obtained with a Master's degree in a relevant field of study. Candidate should understand the missions, domains and challenges of MITRE customers. In addition, the candidate understands that he/she will be fully responsible for deliverables-including definition, completion, and technical quality, as well as assuring consistency across the responsibility span.

The desired candidate will have experience with anti-virus and application control products (e.g., SEP, Carbon Black), knowledge of Certificates and their usage, scripting/programming experience (e.g., VScript, Powershell, .Net(C# or VB)) and SCCM familiarity.
