The Air Surveillance Command and Control (C2) Systems Departmentassists in the design and development of tactical air defense systems for theDepartment of Defense (DoD) and US international allies. Work includes majorairborne and ground-based radar and battle management integration projects indevelopment or undergoing modification and enhancement of criticalcapabilities. MITREs Air Surveillance C2 Systems Department solves the mostpressing challenges facing the Air Force by architecting systems in theintelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), battle planning andmanagement, and command and control (BMC2) domains.

Key Functions:

Apply analytical engineering principles to supportacquisition strategy development, design of system technical requirements, andidentification and mitigation of technical risks

Develop methodologies to assess effectiveness of a varietyof multi-domain kill chains associated with detecting, tracking, andidentifying a target

Provide analytical approaches to assess benefits ofsystem/platform additions and legacy upgrades for mission effectivenessintegrating new data into tracking, identification, and displays

Develop and present prototypes and system models to helpcustomers frame emerging technology trends to increase affordability,efficiency, and effectiveness

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Academic and/or professional experience with digital signalprocessing and stochastic processes

Experience with MATLAB or equivalent mathematicalcomputation, modeling, and simulation tool.

Strong interpersonal and communications skills, includingtechnical writing

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with estimation algorithms (e.g., Kalmanfiltering, neural networks, clustering, pattern recognition)

Academic and/or professional experience with non-linearsystem theory, detection, and estimation

Proficiency in MATLAB

Proficiency in a programming language (Java, C/C , Python)

Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science,Physics, Math or related field
