Join MITRE’s Electronic System Development team implementing state of the art electronic prototypes for advanced sensor and communication systems. Candidates will lead design teams to architect and design RF and mixed signal prototypes. We are interested in highly motivated candidates with a wide variety of skills and interests in RF, analog, and mixed-signal system design.
This position provides an exciting opportunity to lead the specification, system architecture, design, and prototyping of advanced RF electronics for communication, navigation and sensor systems. Responsibilities encompass generating system requirements, defining system architecture, and leading design teams through prototype development including integration, prototype testing, and field test in a variety of environments.
Must have a solid fundamental understanding of RF, analog, and mixed-signal design as well as practical knowledge of communication and/or sensor systems.
The candidate should have a blend of technical and leadership skills.
Experience in the design, integration and evaluation of prototype RF and mixed signal subsystems used in communication or sensor systems is required.
Knowledge of wireless communication systems, including recent developments in commercial wireless protocols and waveforms, is highly desirable.
Experience with performance tradeoffs between analog and digital functions is highly desired.
Experience in leading technical tasks with responsibility for budgeting, scheduling and resource management is desirable
