Job Highlights:

As a member of MITRE’s Center for Transforming Health, the candidate will be leading the prototyping and implementation of health information systems. This position requires a strong background in software development in combination with experience in the healthcare domain. Ideal candidates will be able to apply agile development practices while still satisfying the unique demands of health oriented applications.

Key Functions:

Leading an agile team to deliver a software application

Customer and stakeholder engagement

Full stack implementation of healthcare prototypes

Hands on software development and testing



Applicants should have experience implementing healthcare systems such as EHRs, HIEs or Interface Engines.

A strong understanding of Healthcare IT standards is desired (especially HL7 FHIR, SMART-on-FHIR, and CDS Hooks, but also HL7 V2, HL7 CDA-based standards).

Familiarity the healthcare industry, terminology, clinical roles and national healthcare organizations is desired

5 years of software development - Experience with Java, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, and modern JavaScript frameworks a plus

Large-scale data analysis, data mining or machine learning a plus

Solid understanding of service design - Experience implementing RESTful services
