Will provide expert medical, scientific, strategic, and operational guidance into the planning and execution of oncology medical activities such as: generation of clinical and scientific data; educational initiatives including medical education, data, guidelines and value proposition. Provides strategic medical input into core strategies, to support medical activities. As an in-house Oncology expert, this position may author, review, and approve content used for publications and promotions, in addition to participating in internal and external events.

Interacts with and coordinates appropriate scientific and medical activities with internal stakeholders as they relate to on-going medical analytics projects. May develop scientific medical education programs, advisories and symposia.

Keeps abreast of oncology medical information and technology through conferences and/or medical literature.

May lead cross-functional teams in development and execution of strategic initiatives requiring integration of multiple subprojects within the medical analytics function.

Works on complex problems in which analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various complex factors.

Coordinate, support, and exchange information with key opinion leaders, health care professionals and professional organizations, and disease state advocacy groups.


Required Qualifications:

  • MD from an accredited institution with US Medical Board Certified Oncologist

  • Significant knowledge of basic clinical cancer research and its application to cancer drug development is required.

  • A strong commitment to oncology clinical research and the ability to work well within a team setting are essential.

  • Good oral, written communication and presentation skills(including report development) is preferred.

  • 5 years in Clinical Oncology Practice; currently active in a clinical practice

  • Experience with participating in and (desired) running clinical trials.

  • Experience with using EHR's for Oncology care

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience as a resource in implementing EHRs

  • Experience in designing medical computer applications

  • Experience in using information systems to meet research needs, clinical needs, clinical trial data processing.
