Successful candidateswill provide sensor systems engineering support (design, prototyping,engineering, and test) for a variety of sensor-related projects. Candidateswill engage in activities with minimal supervision and work as part of a teamin the design, development, integration, and test of advanced sensor systems.Candidates should have a clear understanding of how the sensor technologyimpacts the entire system, the end-to-end process to acquire new technologiesand the operational utility of the system. Responsibilities will includeperforming trade studies, design, modeling and simulation, algorithmdevelopment, implementation and test. Candidates will also be expected toperform research to advance the state of the art in sensor technologies.Candidates must have working knowledge of radar technologies and technologiesrelated to one other sensing modality and a background in EW technologies ispreferred.



We seek candidates with exceptional technical background in sensor systemsengineering and sensor signal processing/phenomenology. Skills including sensorengineering, probability and statistics, signal detection, estimation,classification, system modeling and design are mandatory. Experience in radarand one other sensing modality is required.

Candidates must possess good communication skills and will interface directlywith customers and contractor experts. In addition, a successful candidate mustpossess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work with a diverse team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A working knowledge of radar signal processing techniques (SAR, STAP) and arrayprocessing methods (beam forming, clutter cancellation), antennas, and propagationis desired.

  • A background in sensor EW is preferred. Candidates must beself-directed and be able to define focused technical efforts to enableassessments and maturation of sensor technologies.

  • Must be able to buildsuccessful relationships with government clients and their contractor teams.Outstanding written and oral communications skills.

  • Candidates should have amaster’s degree in electrical engineering, physics or mathematics and 5 yearsof experience in sensor technologies and sensor related signal processing.Candidates with doctorate degrees in electrical engineering, physics ormathematics are preferred.
