Provide technicalleadership to Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) systemsengineering in support of the Air Force (AF) Global Strike Command at BarksdaleAFB in Shreveport, LA. This is an excellent opportunity to provide the AF withsystem of systems engineering, and technical leadershiptoshape the requirements, development and implementation strategy to modernizecritical strategic warfightercapabilities.

Key Functions:

Conducting system-of-systems analysis, technology assessmentsand performance trades critical to the success of the Nuclear DeterrenceOperation and identifying innovative solutions to improve warfighter capabilityand mitigate future threats. Providetimely and actionable data-driven recommendations to DoD decision makers indevelopment of AF NC3 Weapon System Initial Capability Document, Concept ofOperations, and strategic implementation plans. This includes mission needs analysesforrequirements, roadmaps,and technical visions development.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Expertisein performing concept and requirements development, mission analysis, marketresearch, technology feasibility and strategic planning to transition thecurrent set of systems into a modernized integrated weapon system

  • Experiencein technical research, system-of-systems analysis, and technology assessment

  • Broadcommunication systems engineering expertise

  • Stronginterpersonal, communications, and technical leadership skills to interfacewith AFGSC and effectively collaborate across multiple organizations andengineering disciplines

  • Demonstratedability to develop a trusted advisor relationship with a government sponsor

  • Possess a collateral SECRET clearance and theability to obtain a TS/SCI

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of AFNC3 mission, and a broad understanding of thecommunications capabilities of GlobalStrike assets transiting the globe as well as supporting forces transiting to andfrom a theater of operations

  • Experience with integrating solutions fromacross multidisciplinary engineering domains

  • Experience with system security engineeringand modeling/simulation

  • Understanding of DoD acquisition processes

Minimum Qualifications:

BS and 5 years related experience.
