Join MITRE, one of Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For,” to provide and maintain personnel security information using various online security automated systems and to prepare and process security correspondence. Provides diligent records management for the special programs and suitability employees.

Key Functions:

Provide day to day support for MITRE employees and various government SCI/SAP/Suitability clearance processing. Maintain and update security database daily. Provide periodic reports and briefings to management and key staff on the clearance process for assigned personnel. Continually track the status of cleared personnel and identify those due for a periodic reinvestigation.

Runs monthly follow up reports to perform status checks with customer.

Prepare annual project revalidation security documentation in coordination with Project Leaders.

Training will be provided to conduct security indoctrinations and other EOD type briefings.

Maintain and keep processing procedures and instructions up-to-date.

Establish and maintain an excellent working rapport with Sponsor counterparts and ensure compliance of personnel security policy across a wide spectrum.

Work closely with the MITRE technical community to mesh special programs needs with strict security clearance requirements imposed by the Sponsor.

Ensure quality control mechanisms and metrics are in place to maximize effectiveness of business area processes.

Other duties as assigned.

Ability to work overtime (as applicable).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Candidate must possess either a current SSBI for a high level security clearance and may be required to undergo a polygraph.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.

Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in a fast paced high-volume setting.

Ability to exercise the utmost discretion in the handling of personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Proficiency in Microsoft applications and strong computer skills is required.

JPAS experience a plus.

Experience with classified systems.

Self-starter under minimal supervision and motivation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years applicable work experience in a service-oriented administrative operation on the job training will be provided for internal candidate selection. Will consider acceptable level of experience in lieu of education. Working knowledge of eQIP, SF86, JPAS, NISPOM, JAFAN 6/0, DCID 6/4, ICD 704 a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, plus 5 years of experience or the equivalent in job-relevant work experience
