MITRE’s Organizational Effectiveness Consulting team works in partnership with MITRE’s senior leadershipto align people, processes, and technology to meet strategic outcomes. Our department members work on a variety of projects, from targeted, short-term, change management efforts to large-scale organizational transformational challenges as well as team coaching and development, strategic planning, and organizational culture change..

Your responsibilities will include:

Partner with MITRE’s senior leaders to develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies.

Proactively identify strategic gaps, collect and analyze data, present findings to senior leaders, recommend solutions and propose and implement a change management plan to achieve intended outcomes; create measures to assess impact.

Serve as a consultative partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders; work collaboratively with senior leaders, subject matter experts, cross-disciplinary project management teams, functional partners and other stakeholders.

Develop and socialize with stakeholders project plans appropriate to change impact level, change project complexity, apply appropriate change engagement model and coordinate appropriate roles and responsibilities including the involvement of support teams.

Create and manage transition plans customized to the environment, reflecting a keenunderstanding of the stakeholder views and operational realities, and inclusive of metrics that indicate buy-in/readiness..

Create comprehensive communication strategies, plans, and collateral for how project specifics will be relayed to various groups of stakeholders.

Coach leadership teams engaged in leading organizational change; provide metrics that inform them of how the change is going; make recommendations on corrective action.

Outstanding customer engagement skills are a must; must be able to develop credibility and influence with senior executives. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and persuade others.

Strong strategic and systems thinking, analytical and diagnostic skills are required. Strong project management skills are essential. Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience:

BS and 10 years of related experience, including 2 years of leadership experience

Required for consideration:

Applicable degree Bachelor's degree and minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in Organizational Change Management, Change Management, Organizational Development, or related field.

MA, MS, MBA, or Ph.D. preferred.

  • Documented successful presentation skills that demonstrate clear, concise articulation of proposed actions, illustrating opportunity, alternatives, recommendation and associated business and operational impacts

  • Robust knowledge of MS Office applications required; especially SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint
