Key Functions In this role, you will apply your knowledge of information assurance policy, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission, cyber threats, and DHS compliance and accreditation processes to help develop National information assurance policy. Desired Education/Experience M.S. in Computer Science with a political science or communications-related emphasis, or in a related field plus at least eight years experience developing and implementing information security policy for Federal Government Departments and Agencies.

Key Functions This position supports NGA application service provider (ASP) in acquiring new software applications and services for the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG). Data engineering and data modeling skills are required. Focus will be on information systems analysis with emphasis on the enterprise data architecture for Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT). Functions include pre-acquisition concept exploration using prototype capabilities (some MITRE developed) to understand GEOINT analysts’ mission functions and to demonstrate innovative solutions for hard problems. Ability to engage with top-down business process re-engineering and architecture engineering teams is also required. This includes database design, database performance, database security, data warehousing, data migration and translation, metadata repositories, and other engineering aspects.

Required Skills: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in information systems engineering, with emphasis on data modeling and data engineering, and technical skills in database design are required.
