Key Functions The candidate will work with cloud thought leaders to help stakeholders in the following areas:

• Evolution of a cloud services roadmap that allows for the gradual development of new service offerings at the infrastructure, platform, application software, and service layers, and how to most effectively and rapidly implement valuable service with return on investment.

• Performing continuous improvement to cloud computing systems, such as through technology insertion, system design changes, and adjustments to operational practices to provide the courts with increasingly valuable, reliable, secure, and affordable services

• Selecting methods, approaches, and techniques for software development that leverage cloud capabilities for elasticity, ubiquity, and self-service, such as the promulgation of application programming interfaces to access cloud resources and software architectures that support scalability and agility

• Prototyping cloud computing services to support investment decisions and minimize risks

• Identifying viable options for transitioning data center and data warehouse capabilities into cloud
Required Education/Experience: BS and 1 year experience or MS
Desired Education/Experience The candidate should have 3 to 5 years of experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare), 1 to 3 years with cloud computing technologies, and 5 to 10 years of experience as a systems engineer.

The candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science discipline.

The candidate will have operational experience with standing up new cloud services and/or migrating existing data center or data warehouse capabilities into a cloud
Required Skills: The candidate must possess:

• Systems engineering experience early in the prototyping, design and development phases of the systems life-cycle

• Experience designing or implementing cloud services consisting of cloud computing and virtualization technologies, products, and/or commercial service offerings

Key Functions Work as part of a team to lead and provide assistance in the selection, engineering, integration, implementation and operation of infrastructure engineering for government programs.

Candidate shall apply very strong project and technology area knowledge to identify, prioritize, and solve difficult problems within assigned work areas.

Candidate will lead technical staff with expertise in one or more of the following technologies:
1. Physical infrastructure (including servers, storage, workstations, , voice and data networks, firewalls, cabling systems, power distribution and environmental systems),
2. Infrastructure applications (including virtualization, platform migration, server consolidation, utility computing, grid computing, VPN, wireless and other mobility platforms, SAN/NAS, messaging, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, identity &amp; privilege management and authentication),
3. Infrastructure operations (including enterprise systems management processes and tools, security architectures &amp; tools-, directory services, capacity management, performance tuning, service management, data center planning &amp; consolidation, configuration management and asset management server &amp; storage configuration)

Candidate will collaborate and participate in activities to ensure knowledge creation/sharing and integration within and across all work programs as appropriate, and may lead projects

Candidate will participate in developing work programs with new customers, and in some customer project activities such as assessments, position papers, and special studies
Required Education/Experience: BS and 5 years of related experience or MS and 3 years of related experience or PhD and 1 year of related experience
Desired Education/Experience BS in Computer Systems Engineering or related Computer Science, MS preferred. Broad experience across a number of engineering disciplines with a minimum of 7 years in infrastructure engineering, integration and operations.
Required Skills: Working experience in two or more of the following Information Technology disciplines: Data Center Design, Network Design, Server Configuration Design, Storage Design, System Design, IT Infrastructure Operations, Infrastructure Capacity Planning, Performance Management, Telecommunications Management or Desktop Management.
Desired Skills Candidate will exhibit leadership qualities, have prior experience working with senior management to find solutions to client problems, and be able to provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members. • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) with supporting frameworks such as ITIL
• Experience with leading Infrastructure COTS products and their integration

• Strong experience in physical analysis and design, conducting customer interviews, and leading teams
