Purpose Join MITRE, a Fortune 100 Best Company to Work For, in a Sensor Systems Internship to support laboratory-based analysis of sensor performance for missile warning applications.
Security Clearance Level Secret
Key Functions Be a member of a laboratory team of radar systems analysts evaluating the performance of cutting-edge missile defense systems vital to homeland security. Apply industry standard analysis tools such as MATLAB and Satellite Toolkit (STK) to analyze live recorded data of missile tests and real-world events to assess performance of the US missile defenses against key performance requirements and investigate possible system improvements.
Required Education/Experience: Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree
Desired Education/Experience Successful completion of freshman year in a BS degree field of electrical engineering, math, physics or similar field.
Required Skills: Strong programming/analytical skills. Experience using commercial tools to conduct quantitative analyses.
Desired Skills Experience or interest in radar concepts. Knowledge of MATLAB a plus. Good communications and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team environment. DOD experience is also desired.
