Purpose Design, prototype,and evaluate user interfaces for sponsor programs using state-of-the-art front-end technologies.

Key Functions Position entails graphic design, technical writing, human-computer interface design, prototyping, usability testing, research, experimental design and statistical analysis, human factors engineering and cognitive engineering. Apply principles and guidelines of HCI design to sponsor programs, support user interface design and development-oriented work programs. Design, prototype, and evaluate user interfaces for MITRE and sponsor programs using state-of-the-art and innovative presentation technologies. Design and contribute to HCI-oriented experiments, conduct HCI research, and conduct usability evaluations to support research and design.
Required Education/Experience: AS or equivalent and 2 years of related experience
Desired Education/Experience BS in Human Factors Engineering, Cognitive Engineering/Science or Psychology with specific experience in user interface design and prototyping.
Required Skills: User interface design and prototyping, graphics design, and front-end technologies including JQuery, CSS, HTML, and Javascript.
Desired Skills Domain knowledge of Command and Control Systems, Healthcare, or Web Applications is desired, but not required.
Travel Statement *This position will require overnight travel up to 10% of the time.
