Purpose Join our innovative MITRE team to help define and implement the future of joint battle management information technology to increase force agility and effectiveness in tomorrow’s battle space.
Security Clearance Level Secret
Key Functions • Help define and refine battle management concepts based on current and emerging information technology trends
• Help develop prototype software to be used as reference implementations by technology adopters
• Conduct demonstrations for and provide technical assistance to technology adopters
Required Education/Experience: BS
Desired Education/Experience Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related. 1-3 years of related IT industry experience.
Required Skills: • Object-Oriented methodology and related programming experience (Java, C++, .NET, etc.)
• Experience with distributed service architectures such as REST, WS-* and/or related implementations such as Amazon Web Services or Google App Engine
• Networking technologies including experience using IP protocols
• Oral/Written communication skills
Desired Skills • Experience documenting system designs using notations such as Unified Modeling Language
• Experience briefing customers/users on technical topics or presenting at conferences
Travel Statement *This position will require overnight travel up to 10% of the time.
