Purpose MITRE is seeking a Senior Information Systems Engineer to support Information System analysis and requirements functions to include using systems engineering, analytical techniques, to assist Army customers in defining and evaluating current and future mission command and operational concepts. This important work is conducted in our Aberdeen, MD location.
Security Clearance Level Secret
Key Functions In conjunction with Army sponsors, support analytical analysis, modeling & simulation, software architecture, and trade study tasks to further assist in the derivation of Army C4ISR requirements and benefits for the force. Tasks could include: evaluating and defining Mission Command (MC) capabilities for use in Army studies/analysis related to C4ISR; developing computer or data models, performing systems integration, and computer supported exercises to evaluate C4ISR concepts and capabilities; performing AoA analysis and performance analysis; and briefing, documenting, and supporting analytical recommendations to key Army decision makers
Required Education/Experience: BS and 1 year experience or MS
Desired Education/Experience BS in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Management Info Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Operations Research. MS preferred. Army domain knowledge preferred.
Required Skills: 3+ years full life cycle system engineering experience
- 3+ years experience in software and/or network systems engineering, design and integration
- Statistical analysis experience
Desired Skills Strong oral and written communication skills; operational expertise, and ability to interact with senior decision makers.
Travel Statement *This position will require overnight travel up to 35% of the time.
